About Me
I grew up in Japan, where acupuncture and herbal medicine were part of everyday life. If I felt unwell, my mother would send me to our local herbalist or acupuncturist- healthcare that felt as normal as a trip to the grocery store.
After moving to the U.S., I completed my graduate training at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco. Clinical work in diverse community settings shaped my approach to care, emphasizing compassion, accessibility, harm-reduction and whole-person healing.
In 2010, I expanded my practice to include birth work as a doula, providing acupuncture for labor preparation and postpartum care. This experience deepened my belief in community and the importance of supporting people through life’s transitions.
Being an acupuncturist is both my vocation and my passion. I believe deeply in the transformative power of this medicine, and I am committed to helping patients find relief, balance, and resilience.
I treat a wide range of conditions, with particular focus on pain management, women’s health, fertility, stress, and emotional well-being. Starting in the spring of 2025, I will be enrolled in an advanced training program in Classical Chinese Medicine to deepen my skills as a practitioner.
